The fourth generation Buick Regal was produced from 1997 to
2004. As was typical with the prior
Buick Regal models, the fourth generation vehicles were an upscale copy of the
Buick Century featuring larger engines and fancier trim levels. Buick sold the Regal as the “car for the
supercharged family” to promote the new supercharged engine that made the Regal
the fastest Buick since the Grand National series in the early 80’s. The Buick Regal’s amenities included heated
seats, dual zone climate control, keyless remote entry system and an upgraded
sound system.
