The Lincoln Town Car is a full-size luxury sedan that was sold by Lincoln from the 1981 to the 2011 model years. Featuring a standard V8 engine, body-on-frame design, rear-wheel drive and large exterior and interior dimensions, the Town Car was based on the Ford Panther platform. The Lincoln Town Car was the first production sedan in the world to receive US five-star crash ratings in every category. Remote keyless entry is an available option for most Lincoln Town Car models and is a standard feature on all later models.
